There aren’t many more qualified to offer their two cents on the forthcoming sequel to ‘Mary Poppins’ than Burt himself.
It appears that Dick Van Dyke is very much undecided on whether it will be a good idea to follow up the 1964 family classic, calling the project potentially ‘difficult’.
‘Mary Poppins Returns’ is slated for a Christmas 2018 release, and will see the magical nanny played by Emily Blunt.
“I’d have to see the script,” he told the Daily Mirror when asked whether he’d be up for appearing in the new movie.
“Without Walt Disney, and the Sherman brothers to write the score, and Julie, it will be difficult, I think.
