Fraser Institute: Taxes rapidly outpace necessities of life for average Canadian family

The Fraser Institute has released their annual study which calculates what Canadians pay in taxes versus what they pay for life’s necessities, and it confirms that taxes continue to take a bigger bite out of our incomes than the necessities of life.

Watch as I discuss the report with Ben Eisen, Director of Provincial Prosperity Studies who says no matter how you slice it, there’s been a rapid increase in tax bills and it’s having abig effect on the amount of money Canadians have in their pockets.

Eisen says the purpose of the study is to provide Canadians with the hard numbers so they can make their own determination regarding whether the services they receive for those dollars are worth it.

The first challenge then is to make sure Canadians have an opportunity to hear about the study so share this interview with friends and family.
